Fear/Hell/Love

When people refer to a fear of God, what that really means is a great
respect, love, and honor towards God.  Fear is not of Yahweh, but of the principalities of this world.  They feed off of our fear, and fear keeps you at bay and does not allow you to step out of the box. It is a serious form of control over a human, we can see this in so many different ways, abusive relationship being one.  This same fear is driven into mainstream Christian beliefs today with the use of hell.  There is a hell according to the Bible, but the translations of the Bible have used hell in the place of gehenna(hell), Sheol (hades/paradise) and even the bottomless pit.  These places are different places, but they have been translated into one, which
misconstrues the truth of what hell is, which is said to be a place for the
devil and his angels.

With all the conflicting information we were fed growing up as we sat
quietly and listed to the Pastor in church, it begins to show its ugly head, as we grow and learn, Yahweh reveals Himself and His Love to us more and more.  It’s not easy to stand against what you were taught to be truth, but if you are strong enough to break away from the fear that is put before you, and be an overcomer of this world you will see how beautiful and free life can be. Yahweh said that He is love and there is no fear in love, no hate in love, and no harm in love, so how can there be a place so full of all that, that Yahweh made for us?

1 Corinthians 13: 4-9
4 Charity is patient, is kind: charity envieth not, dealeth not perversely;
is not puffed up; 5 Is not ambitious, seeketh not her own, is not provoked to anger, thinketh no evil; 6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth with the truth; 7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8 Charity never falleth away: whether prophecies shall be made void, or tongues shall cease, or knowledge shall be destroyed. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

Notice in this version (as there are so many to choose from) love is
replaced with charity. Regardless, it says that charity (love) is not
provoked to anger, thinks no evil, bears all things, and endures all things. If this is the case and Yahweh is love, then how is there a hell as we have been taught that will consume people in flames of fire and torture them forever?   It doesn’t make sense at all, because again, Yahweh is love.

Fear separates us from Yahweh in our minds, as we were once enemies of Yahweh in our minds, but Christ reconciled us spotless before Yahweh.  He said, “it is finished” meaning it is already complete and we will all be
reconciled to Him.  There is nothing we can do to sway His power and the
purpose for which He gave His life on this earth for us.  There is no prayer that we can say that will complete the process, and no act we can do to make it right, He did this for all people.

Romains 5:10
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son; much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

Colossians 19-22
19 Because in him, it hath well pleased the Father, that all fullness should dwell; 20 And through him to reconcile all things unto himself, making peace through the blood of his cross, both as to the things that are on earth, and the things that are in heaven. 21 And you, whereas you were some time alienated and enemies in mind in evil works: 22 Yet now he hath reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unspotted, and blameless before him:

There is likely some form of refinement being that there is hades and if we think back to Lazarus and the rich man.  He was thirsty, but if you notice, many times in the Bible and other books, it refers to our knowing Yahweh as never again being thirsty, so the thirst they hold there could very well be a thirst for Yahweh.  A time when some are shown an existence apart from Yahweh to some degree as to renew their minds. If so, it will only be for a time, aionos. Jonah was in the belly of the whale for aionos, three days, was “a time” for Jonah at that moment.  I do not believe these people will sit in a flame of fire, as we know of fire in this place, but a refinement of Yahweh.

If hell were as mainstream Christians today describe it, then why aren’t they all quitting their jobs to go out and save the lost?  If it is that vital, why are they even allowed time to themselves?  How is it even okay for them to wipe the dust off of their feet and move past anyone, it if it God’s will that all be saved?

Our hearts are far from Yahweh, because we do not love as He loves, but it is our choice in this life to pursue a life of peace and learn to love as He loves. Peace and love are not found in fear, hate, ignorance, or hell.  It’s your chance today, be one that overcomes this world and all things that oppose the greatness of our Creator, to begin to learn and grow and become more like our Creator, more like Love.  It starts with you.

Gnosticism, Sex, Marriage, Lust, Adultery, Homosexuality

The more I read and learn, the more I see so much error in the way we are taught in churches today. What is termed Christianity today is loaded with, for one, Gnostic beliefs and not even biblical teachings. If you look at the stories in the Bible there are stories of love between two men, two women, men with many wives, men sleeping with their wives handmaids, men sleeping with concubines, and even their slaves were fair game. There is technically, what is thought in the creation story to give us a standard for marriage, which actually has no statute of marriage biblically speaking that is highly proclaimed by the conservatives of today. Adam was androgynous when God created him, which in turn means that God may be also, as well as, the angels. We know they were sexed by some means, because they came down and mated with human women. Of course this is spoken very little of in Genesis, as Genesis is just a summed up version of Jasher, and there is one small snip it of Enoch in Genesis. Both of these books should be read by any who would read the Bible, along with several other books, but are shunned by most all modern day Christians. These books are historical documents and the best way for us to determine what God’s character is like, along with the history of this world, is by reading these documents.

“Marriage does not unite one man and one woman in one flesh for the purpose of procreation and sexual enjoyment. Instead, marriage unties free Israelite men with as many women and slaves as they can reasonably support.” – Unprotected Text by Jennifer Knust

When you get to the books of Exodus and Deuteronomy, you will discover that there are some listings of the way the free men were supposed to treat the women, be it slaves or other property, seeing as they saw women as property in those days. The only problem is they are not consistent. Even the writings of Matthew, Mark, and Luke are inconsistent and contradictory. So all in all there is no explanation of marriage other than property and estate clauses for those that traded according to the bridal account for women when they married them. It’s basically a legal agreement or contract and not a spiritual one.

“(Matt. 12:48-50 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? And who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.) From Jesus’s perspective, the family is made up of fellow believers, not kin with formal ties outsiders might recognize.

(Matt. 3:9-10 And think not to say within yourselves, we have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth forth not good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. ) and therefore all people must “bear fruit worthy of repentance”

(Matt. 3:8 Bring therefore fruits meet for repentence🙂 He makes a similar point later on in His ministry: When a disciple promises to follow Jesus after first burying his father, Jesus responds, “Follow me, and let the dead bury the dead”

(Matt. 8:22) Jesus devalues literal family ties to the extent that He would rather His followers ignore the death of a parent than miss the chance to follow Him.” – Unprotected Text by Jennifer Knust

The bond that we have with our blood relatives, is not the bond that Jesus found to be important, it was the bond with those that followed Him alone, that He found to be of the utmost importance.

The “marriage laws” of those days. There are laws about Hebrew slaves, if they are bought or brought into slavery with a wife, she is to go with him and when the seven years is up for them, they will go free together, but if the slave marries while already enslaved by his master, his wife and children remain the masters property and when the seven years is up, the slave man goes free but his family is left behind to the master at that point the slave can choose to stay a slave for life to remain with his family. That doesn’t technically speak of marriage as we see it today, this would be considered ripping a family apart or committing to a life of slavery. Then again in Deuteronomy, the women are to be freed just as the men (Deut. 15:12). Nothing seems to be consistent with these different laws or rights and things have changed over time. My thoughts on this is that most of the laws were written by men, but Jesus lumped all the true laws of God up into two when He walked the earth. Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself.

Even though the Exodus and Deuteronomy laws were a set standard, it doesn’t mean they were followed, just like laws now days. These laws were many, and as I stated before they were not consistent. One instance that will show that these laws weren’t possibly always kept, like the happening between David and Bathsheba. Bathsheba became David’s wife only after he stole his neighbor’s wife and got her pregnant, yet David and Bathsheba were not accused by Nathan of violating the covenant commandments. It’s possible this is because the laws only applied to Israelites, and Uriah was a Hittite so technically they didn’t break any laws. In our eyes today this might seem like an injustice, but that is how thing were back then.

If you read the Song of Songs, the poetry is in and of itself erotic, and not in some form of eroticism within marriage. The Songs of Songs was written in a way that you have to learn how they used different terms in those days. They are not how we use them today, for example one of the phrases they used was to uncover a man’s feet, when in that time meant to sleep with him. They were descriptive by using words they had in their vocabulary to compare someone or something to what things they had seen around them. The story of Ruth tells of Naomi and Ruth’s love for one another. The same Hebrew word that is used in Genesis 2:24 to describe how Adam felt about Eve (and how spouses are supposed to feel toward each other) is used in Ruth 1:14 to describe how Ruth felt about Naomi.

dâbaq, daw-bak’; a primitive root; properly, to impinge, i.e. cling or adhere; figuratively, to catch by pursuit:—abide fast, cleave (fast together), follow close (hard after), be joined (together), keep (fast), overtake, pursue hard, stick, take.

Her feelings are celebrated, not condemned. Naomi took care of Ruth as well and they stayed together. The story of 1 and 2 Samuel tells of King David and his love for Johnathan that, At Jonathan’s funeral, David declares that “he loved Jonathan more than any woman.”

When David had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was bound to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. Saul took him that day and would not let him return to his father’s house. Then Jonathan made a covenant with David, because he loved him as his own soul. Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that he was wearing, and gave it to David, and his armor, and even his sword and his bow and his belt.” (1 Samuel 18:1-4)

This is just a couple of several Bible passages that describe and celebrate an intense love between these two men that went well beyond friendship. King David seen as a hero by most modern Christians, was technically a bisexual (which most Christians would see as an abomination, I do not), adulterous, murderer, and a thief.

Most of what you read of Paul’s writings are against women, free men being in control of women, children, and slaves. Basically, that it’s a man’s world and all should abide by anything that he says. He also said, it was better not to marry and to remain a virgin, when God told us to be fruitful and multiply to begin with, that makes his writings to be contradictory to what God ordained in the beginning. That’s not how things started out. He even put himself above all others in 1 Cor. 7:7 in his arrogance, he stated that he wished all others could be as himself. He recommended celibacy for the strong and marriage for the weak.

(This chart is taken from Unprotected Text by Jennifer Knust and is a summarization of what the different book stated about Desire, Sexual Intercourse, and Marriage.)

Author Advice about Desire Advice about Sexual Intercourse Advice about Marriage
Paul Should be controlled as much as possible. Out-of-control desire is a principal sign of abandonment by God. Avoid it if possible but, if married, have sex regularly so as to avoid temptation. If one is a man, one should not submit to sexual penetration. IF one is a women, one must submit to sexual penetration. Avoid it unless desire is unmanageable. It is intended for the weak in faith. Those ineligible for married life are not considered and thus slaves are largely excluded from Paul’s moral program.
Colossians & Ephesians Should be controlled and managed within a hierarchical household. No specific advice is given regarding the frequency and purpose of sexual intercourse. Free men should love their wives, keeping them under control. Wives, children, and slaves should obey the male head of household.
The Pastor Desire is extremely dangerous, especially for women and young men. Women must procreate if they are to be saved by God. Widows must remarry so as to avoid sexual temptation. Husbands should display their own sexual self-mastery by strictly mastering their subordinates. Male church leaders should marry only once. Virgin “widows” must marry- celibacy is impermissible for them. Those ineligible for married life cannot be leaders in the churches.

A good book to read is Unprotected Text, which is where I have taken a few quotes from and the chart above. It will bring more light to how things were around Paul’s time and even more insight to what marriage is and is not. So many things that we have been taught to be certain doctrine, and that the Bible itself is infallible are lies conjured up by men. Along with the translations changed and indoctrinated because of false religious beliefs and theology. Even the Bible calls out certain books, that we are told not to forget, but that the mass majority of Christians of today, refuse to read.

If you believe as I do that the scriptures are divinely inspired by God, God seems to be endorsing these two books. As we are told, in the mouth of two or three witnesses you can establish if a thing is true are not.

Jasher means (Hebrew) “upright”, true, just account

The name refers to the fact that the record, facts, and history are upright, correct, and thus trustworthy.

It is referenced in:

Joshua 10:13 So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself onb its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar.

2 Samuel 1:18 and he ordered that the people of Judah be taught this lament of the bow (it is written in the Book of Jashar):

2 Timothy 3:8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth.

Inferred here talking about Jannes and Jambres who opposed Moses. The only way Paul could have known this is through the book of Jasher.

Enoch was considered scripture and has been in and out of the Bible several times.

  • There are at least a hundred references in the New Testament that find precedence nowhere else in the Bible except the book of Enoch
  • Quoted by Jesus, Peter, and Jude
  • Widely known and read in the 1st Century
  • Viewed as Scripture by early Church Fathers
  • Still in Ethiopian Coptic Bible
  • Found in Dead Sea Scrolls

I have written other blogs about this if you want a deeper dig into those books.

To bring this discussion into and around marriage and see how we got our current indoctrinated point of view on sex, homosexuality, adultery, idolatry, and a few other things, we are going to discuss St. Augustine. St. Augustine of Hippo (Aurelius Augustinus) was a philosopher from A.D. 354 – 430 and was an Algerian-Roman, his philosophy infused Christianity with Gnosticism and Neoplatonism. He is famous for being an inimitable Catholic theologian and for his agnostic contributions to Western philosophy. When Augustine was young he was one to go about in sexual relationships with men and women and he was not shamed to speak of it, but when he got older he reflected on his youth and began to teach that sex is wrong. Manicheans criticized the scriptures, mainly the Old Testament and held chastity and self-denial in honor.

Augustine was “a lively, sensual, hot-tempered person, entirely taken up with his worldly concerns, and unfriendly to Christianity until the close of his life, he became a catechumen (a Christian convert under instruction before baptism) shortly before Augustine reached his sixteenth year (369-370). To his mother Monnica (so the manuscripts write her name, not Monica; b. 331, d. 387) Augustine later believed that he owed what lie became. But though she was evidently an honorable, loving, self-sacrificing, and able woman, she was not always the ideal of a Christian mother that tradition has made her appear. Her religion in earlier life has traces of formality and worldliness about it; her ambition for her son seems at first to have had little moral earnestness and she regretted his Manicheanism more than she did his early sensuality. It seems to have been through Ambrose and Augustine that she attained the mature personal piety with which she left the world. Of Augustine as a boy his parents were intensely proud. He received his first education at Thagaste, learning, to read and write, as well as the rudiments of Greek and Latin literature, from teachers who followed the old traditional pagan methods. He seems to have had no systematic instruction in the Christian faith at this period, and though enrolled among the catechumens, apparently was near baptism only when an illness and his own boyish desire made it temporarily probable.” (You can learn more about St. Augustine here: http://www.iep.utm.edu/augustin/ )

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Lasciviousness is not about sex or lust. Many people think that this means that they were overwhelmingly sexual or lustful or full of desire. This phrase is about doctrine that leads to a certain mentality. Lasciviousness really means, our own selfish desires, our own selfish way about things. Hebrews Strong’s says, unbridled lust (not necessarily sex), licentiousness, wantonness, outrageousness, shamelessness, and insolence. Being that he taught this theology in this Paradigm, he is the one who started the church towards anti-sex theology.

Romans 6:1-4 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?  Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Paul was dealing with Manikin Gnostic theology. The idea of the demiurge creating the physical realm and trapping the spirit light in these bodies. The Manikin Gnostics along with St Augustine believed that if you sinned the spirit light left your body. St. Augustine practiced and studied this for nine years before he became a Christian. You releasing the spirit light was seen as good, because you do your sin, you know it’s wrong, but you do it anyway because releasing the spirit light from your body is considered a righteous deed. This all ties into the Marcion Heresy that teaches that the god of the Old Testament is the demiurge. Basically, it was believed that this evil physical god (demiurge) trapped (Christ) the spirit light into your body and you had to let him out. Tertullian wrote against this belief. They went about this in two ways, you could commit evil acts and your spirit light is released, or you avoid doing evil period. These two ways of living were complete opposites based from the same theology.

St. Augustine’s own history reflects that he is a heretic. He had his own concubine that he was with but not married to yet he taught that all sex is sinful. He thought that God put up with people getting married for procreation. He felt guilty for being with the concubine and so he found a girl and married her but ended up divorcing her and went back to his concubine. He could have simply married his concubine and dealt with his natural sexual desires instead of fighting against what God naturally gave him as a desire. He even admitted having sexual relationships with men in his younger years, and possibly even as a Christian. So he taught about sex in general being bad, but all the while, he was doing the very things that he counted as sin. In doing so, he made something that is not a sin to be a sin in the eyes of others, and in turn causing the denial of such natural desires that were given by God to actually be sin because it is a rejection of a gift of God.

Something to note is that St. Augustine is considered number two in the church among Catholics and Protestants, that right there should tell you, that there is problem and a need to seek after God through guidance from the Holy Spirit and NOT the standardized church. I know some people fear that they are not smart enough to research and learn, but I’m no genius and have never claimed to be such. My drive to seek God was given by God, He gave me the ability to do the things I do, and I hated reading until I got a desire to know Him and to know I was not going to hell like I had been told so many times by others that follow the standard church. He gave me faith and has made that faith grow more and more over the years. It’s not a matter of smarts, but a matter of love for Elohim. The more you seek, the more the Spirit will reveal to you and you will find others that are likeminded to learn and grow with you, even if they are miles away. The world has many distractions like music and TV, things that are constant noise to drown out that still small voice. You have to have silent time with the Holy Spirit or you will never hear Her voice. I still enjoy these things, but I make sure to make a silent time to listen.

Now back to St. Augustine. St. Augustine’s theology was based off of Gnosticism and the things he taught about sex were lies as well as him being hypocritical while teaching them, right along with teaching things that weren’t biblical and stemmed from his past beliefs in Gnosticism, Neoplatonism, and pagan beliefs. St. Augustine was part of the Latin School of Theology and all the other schools of theology where shunned and shutdown which is why we do not hear about them, Rome was in charge and they forced the belief of the Latin School on all people (there is proof of this in the time of the reformation when Rome came against all Christians and killed so many of them).

It seemed that the concoction of Pagan, Gnostic, and Neoplatonism that Augustine carried with him was just melded into Christianity and has become a religion instead of the Spiritual based faith, the truth of our world and our Creator which is not religion, man created religion. So this is what Paul was referring to at that time, he was preaching against the Gnostic beliefs, they sinned intentionally because they thought that it released the spirit light from their body. This is why he wrote, “shall we continue in sin that grace may abound,” he was preaching against the Gnostics. These are the men that crept in unawares in Jude. This is why sex is seen as a bad thing now days in more ways than not, sex out of marriage is a huge deal today, sex between two women, or two men, it all stems from the Gnostic belief. We also get our theology on Hell, infant baptisms, the thought of women being evil, sexual desire being evil, erections being sinful, and many other things from St. Augustine which are also incorrect, he was one of the many that Jude 1:4 was warning us about. He believed that sin was transferred by seamen and if you were born, you would go to hell if you died a baby before being baptized. Seems like he missed everything that Christ was about.

Here is a document about Eternal Punishment in Augustine’s The City of God: “In many ways, Saint Augustine of Hippo (354-430) was the most influential post-Pauline theologian in Christendom…. Any disagreement with his writings is tantamount to heresy, and this applies equally to Catholic and Protestant traditions… Many major themes of Christian thought can be traced to Augustine. These include the Just War theory, the Trinity, and Original Sin. Augustine had a profound influence on the Doctrine of Eternal Punishment.” You can read more of this at: https://soundandsilence.wordpress.com/2009/01/13/eternal-punishment-in-augustine%E2%80%99s-the-city-of-god/

To learn even more about St. Augustine’s beliefs, you can watch this youtube video:  St. Augustine’s Philosophy and Theology

The reason Augustine taught eternal torment, is because he believed the physical was evil and it had to be tortured according to Gnostic theology. He basically tried to interpret the Bible through Gnostic eye glasses so to speak. The teachings stuck from the fourth century because Rome was in power and Rome promoted him and enforced this doctrine on the world, but this has been the age of darkness, the keys to the scripture had been hidden for so long, and now God has allowed the keys to the scriptures, back into the hands of His children. The only place that Rome had no power over was Ethiopia, and the Ethiopian Orthodox Church is the only place that still has the book of Enoch in its canon. Rome did try to go and enforce the canon without Enoch on the Ethiopian Church, which did not work, as well as worshiping on Sunday, but they knew it was wrong, so they apparently did it for short time and then went back to worshiping on Saturday. Rome had wiped the book of Enoch out of every other church canon. The main promoter of the removal of the book of Enoch was St. Augustine, he thought the book was evil. His doctrine was completely satanic, his doctrine came from Manichean Gnosticism, which was preached against by John, Paul, and Jude, and remember Jude told us to remember the book of Enoch. Enoch was forgotten beyond the Ethiopian Church, and still today most Christians refuse to read the book of Enoch, even though it has now been release back into their possession.

1 Timothy 4:1-5 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Note that here marriage was already a strong belief in the church, but in reading all the Old Testament text, you rarely if ever see one man and one woman in a relationship. Yet, this is another warning, that in the later times, people would forbid to marry as the Catholics require their priests to do(1120 A.D.) and they saw sex as sinful but if they were married they could have sex. The main group that does this is the Western Catholic Church, Rome. When they did this in 1120 A.D, all the priest that were married had to have their marriages annulled, so they ripped apart families. The Latin school of theology taught that it was sinful to have sex, so priest couldn’t have sex or be married in order to be holy. They took so many things that God meant for good and made them appear to be evil. Again, from 1 Timothy 4:3 they took these things that God created for good and forbid them or abstain from them. Note that Jerome went right along with St. Augustine.

Just to point out, hyper Calvinism is the same as Manichean Gnosticism. They think they can sin all they want, they think all they have to do is have faith. Basically, they can sin all week and go to church on Sunday and get right with God. Another thing to point out within all this is that these men (Pharisees) that try to keep themselves from having any desire for sex or women and can’t do so, so they have an inward hate for women. They can’t be freed from women, because of the drive that God gave us, they even said things like the woman is the root of all evil and numerous other things. The woman and Adam ate of the tree.

And do you not know that you are (each) an Eve? The sentence of God on this sex of yours lives in this age: the guilt must, of necessity live too. You are the devil’s gateway: you are the unsealer of that (forbidden) tree: you are the first deserter of the divine law: you are she who persuaded him whom the devil was not valiant enough to attack. You destroyed so easily God’s image, man.     –Tertullian.

Here is a really great study by a brother in Christ pertaining to the same things we are talking about here, that might give you even more insight on how they perceived women and how the devil worked that in, over time. http://www.godrules.net/articles/earlychurch-on-sex.htm

St. Augustine, just like Tertullian looks at woman and sex as evil, but those are lies that the devil swayed them to believe to make the beauty of sexuality that God gave us as a gift, to seem like something awful.

It’s true that many people in the Christian religion believe that lust is bad, and they use Matt. 5:27-28, but there is good and bad terms for lust. Check this out.

What is “lusting”? Most of you have this definition coming to mind “any sexual thought for the opposite sex”. And yes, I used to have the same definition, until, again, I actually studied scripture and Greek to decipher what the term actually meant.

The term means to “covet” or “desire with intent to steal” plain and simple. This Greek word (1937) has no “sexual” connotation to it, as the very same word is used as “desire” in other passages, such as “desire the Office of Bishop…desireth a good work” – 1 Timothy 3:1. Now, do you remember which of the Ten Commandments mentions this type of desire or coveting? Yes, it is the 10th commandment. So, Jesus was quoting the “thou shalt not covet .. thy neighbor’s wife”. Why haven’t you ever heard that before? Doesn’t that make a lot of sense, seeing God is the same, yesterday, today and forever? So, quite literally, Jesus first stated the 7th commandment, “Thou shalt not commit adultery”, then he explained the theology behind the 7th commandment with the 10th commandment, “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife“. He was showing how the people of the day were not looking at the intent behind the 7th commandment.

Here is further proof that Jesus was quoting the 10th of the 10 Commandments:

LXX- Greek Septuagint “γυναικα 1135 του 3588 πλησιον 4139 σου 4675 ουκ 3756 επιθυμησεις 1937 5692” – Exodus 20:17

Greek Textus Receptus “γυναικα 1135 προς 4314 το 3588 επιθυμησαι 1937 5658” – Matthew 5:28

Note the same key terms for “woman” and “lust” are present within both passages, showing Christ was paraphrasing the 10th Commandment. The IVP Bible Background Commentary explains:

“The Greek word here is the same as in the opening line of the tenth commandment in the Septuagint (the Greek version of the Old Testament): ‘You shall not desire your neighbor’s wife’ (Exodus 20:17)” – The IVP Bible Background Commentay: New Testament, Matthew 5:27-30

How do we know that the common viewpoint on Matthew 5:27-28 is irreparably in error? Well, if the Greek term “gunh” meant “any woman” and we take the Greek meaning of the term “lust” (which means any desire in general), we discover the passage to be saying literally, “whosoever looks at a woman and desires her has committed adultery in her heart”. Which means you literally cannot desire any woman in general and would have to conclude that all men have sinned being in any relationship with a woman, even if they had the most innocent of “desires”. So, revisiting Jesus’ statement, we see that woman is “wife”, lust is “covet” and adultery is “unlawful intercourse with another man’s wife”. –Godrules.net

So looking back at this passage that they cling to, to make sex and lust bad you can now see that it really means this:

Matthew 5:27-28 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery (unlawful intercourse w/ another man’s wife): But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh (sets mind upon) on a woman (wife) to lust (desire or covet) after her hath committed adultery (unlawful intercourse w/ another man’s wife) with her already in his heart.

Another thing to point out as well since we are talking about lust, is adultery. Here is another bit that will help you understand that a little better.

The “gist” of the term adultery, if you research the Greek and Hebrew it has to do with a “contractual agreement” between you and your wife (wives) or between you and God. This is why adultery can also refer to idolatry (same also with the term “fornication”), as idolatry is a form of cheating on God, by worshipping a false god. So, even though adultery’s original definition takes into consideration polygamy, in the case where you commit yourself only to one woman, you make a contractual agreement with her. So, this means, going out and cheating is equivalent to adultery, even though, technically, it does not fall directly under the definition of adultery. It is the Spirit of the Law, as you can see and the point is, you made a contract with your wife and you are to abide in the contract. –Godrules.net

You can read more on this as well as the above statements about lust, here: http://www.godrules.net/articles/mat5.htm

God made us to have desire for another, be it man or woman that is part of being human.  So amidst all the religion that has come about because of man, this is one thing that has apparently had a lot of influence on it.  I’ll remind you religion is the beguilement of God’s people, none of it is for the good of human kind, it is varying and continuously causes division amongst people, self-mutilation, self-denial of things God meant for good, and there are many other aspects of it. Though there may be churches that support the homeless or do other things for a good cause, if they are religious and not spiritually focus, they are likely one that causes division, and one thing that shows the lack of Christ within, is a place that causes division among people.  Christ ate with sinners, which no one on this earth can say they are not a sinner, we all need our Creator to sustain us and even more so to save us from our own sins, and the fallen angels and the evil they have developed since they made the decision to war against God Himself.

Augustine argued as I stated above, that physical erections are a physical expression of the sin of lust. It’s a natural thing and I’m sure you have noticed that the priests and preachers that deny themselves to fulfill their natural desire end up committing even worse acts because their desire becomes so overwhelming for them, that they end up doing something that actually is bad. Augustine felt that he was a slave to his sexual impulses, because they are natural impulses and he kept denying himself, so he ended up going back and doing what he was teaching was wrong, because it was natural. His concubine even had his son, and he admitted to his sexual happenings throughout his life. He made sex and women his enemy. He felt that this is why the world was corrupt, which he got from Genesis, the statement about being against nature which was all because of the fallen angels coming down and mating with humans. When you read against nature in the story of Sodom, it is stated that way because they were trying to rape angels, it has nothing to do with the fact that they were men, because they were not men, they were angels. You can confirm this if you will read the book of Jasher chapters 18 and 19, and the Bible actually tells you that the book of Jasher is a good book in multiple places as I stated above. It explains the kind of people that were in Sodom. These people might have been bisexual or heterosexual, but they were not homosexuals because it states that they were married. Those people just committed evil acts towards one another and terrible things to those that entered the cities as foreigners. The book of Naphtali also talks about angels and humans. To find anything close to the truth, you have to venture outside of the Biblical canon of today, you have to look in the Greek and Hebrew, and in history in general. The biggest and most important thing is you have to make time to listen to the Spirit, She is wisdom and She will teach you the truth if you will allow Her to do so.

The base points of this study are that there are so many different things that have been construed because of religion.  We have to really dig and make sense of this in the view of God and not the view of man.  We have to see marriage for what it is, it is a legal contract, not one man and one woman.  Sex is not bad, sex outside of the marriage contract is not bad, stealing another person’s husband or wife is bad, and lust is not bad unless it is a lust for another person’s husband or wife with intent to steal.  Adultery is the breaking of the agreement with your wife by going outside the contract basically or even with God by worshiping false gods. God gave us so many things in this life that are meant for good and Lucifer and his followers want to destroy those gifts and us or to make it hard on us in any way they can, because they can’t hurt God physically. God loves His creation so much, that creation being us and the heavenly being as well, the fallen ones want to hurt us in place of seeking to hurt God.

I talked to a friend this past weekend about God and some of the ways we see His character and how difficult it is basically through the fog of what we are given and taught to really see who He is, but our need more than anything is to desire that relationship with our Creator and the Spirit of that Creator, so that we can learn more from the source instead of always just listening and following along like sheep lead astray by wolves. The fact is we do sin, but some of what religion has made out to be sin, is not sin until we follow along with it, because it is denial of God’s gifts, the parable of the talents teaches us this (Matt. 25:14-30). God says again and again in Revelation that we must be overcomers, and we really need to see spiritually as well as physically what He meant by that, we have to overcome the lies of this world, and seek after the truth, God’s truth and not man’s false truth.

So to sum this up, you see that they made women and lust out to be evil, and sex to be bad and of the devil basically. They forced out all the schools of theology but the Latin school of theology. Even after the protestant reformation, they still carried on Augustine’s theology. Augustine is the central reason we have eternal torment in hell, that sex before or outside of marriage is bad, and that any form of desire is bad.  A few of the ways you can learn all this and find the proof of it is by taking an old Strong’s Concordance and a new one and you will see many of the terms have changed meanings (An example would a word like fornication, it meant idolatry and adultery, it did not mean sex before marriage, and orgies meant sacred rites worship (Idolatry) where today it would mean a sex party.), you can look back in the Greek and Hebrew and find many things skewed, and just taking a look at the history of the times and seeing what was going on around these people when they wrote these books will help you see the light in the matter.  Note that the Hebrew Masoretic text is not as accurate as the Greek, it does not match up with the Dead Sea Scrolls, but the Greek does, and the Hebrew Masoretic text is what our Bibles today are based off of. If you have read all the way to this point, something in you is telling you to dig and seek God through the Holy Spirit. So be an overcomer and overcome the lies of religion.

One other thing that I want to reiterate that I’ve covered in my other blogs is Romans 1.

Romans 1:22-25 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

People assume that it is automatically talking about homosexuals here, but we don’t all worship falsely, there are many of us that worship God, we love God. What this is talking about is someone who worships creation and does unclean acts at the same time, so they are basically committing an idolatrous act right along with an adulterous act. This kind of goes back to Genesis where the whole earth is corrupt and then also the book of Enoch where the fallen angels came down, and mated with animals as well as humans.

Romans 1:26-27 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

These people are using sex to worship fallen angels (false gods), it’s idolatry, that is why it is stated that they are working that which is unseemly, this was done in Leviticus 18:21-22 as well, they were having sex in worship to Moloch. The men and women stated in these verses are temple prostitutes or the people in general having sex be it heterosexual sex or homosexual sex, to a false god. So if one human being has sex with another human being, it is not against nature, but if a human has sex with an animal or angel that is against nature. Again, you can read in the books of Enoch, Jasher, and Naphtali about things being against nature. That’s why God said in Genesis 1:24-25 about each beast that he created being with its own kind and God saw that as good. It’s not bad when we are with our own kind, what is seen as bad by God is when we mix with other kinds that are not our own. People try to make it seem liken gays are bad, because of their point of view they have been taught by the corrupt translations that gay is sinful in their eyes just like sex before marriage, they don’t even try to see what is really stated here. If we look at the animals of the world today, you will find many of them that will have sex between two females or two males, but they will not go outside their kind.

And lastly I leave you with this…

2 Timothy 2:15 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Is Hell Eternal, Is It Even Just Hell?

In the accepted cannon, they have translated Hell down to one place; this in fact is not true there are several levels to what the translators (scribes and Pharisees) changed into Hell. There is Paradise, Sheol or Hades, Hell, Lake of Fire, and the bottomless pit. Another thing I would like to talk about through this is, about hell being eternal per the English and aion or aionios per the Greek or eon if you say it in English.

In Luke 16:22-26 you read about Lazarus and the rich man, here it talks about Abraham’s bosom. 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Young’s Literal Translation Luke 16:23 – and in the hades having lifted up his eyes, being in torments, he doth see Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom

The beggar is not in hell, he is in Hades or sheol which is next to Paradise from what is said here. The flame of his torment is the refinement of God’s fire; it’s the acknowledgement of your debts and along with whatever discomfort comes being before the Might God knowing you are wrong and dealing with all the things done while you were on the earth.

Luke 23:43 – “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise (Paradisos).”

2 Corinthians 12:2-4 – “I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven (Treetos Ooranos). 3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) 4 How that he was caught up into paradise (Paradisos), and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.”

Revelation 2:7 – “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise (Paradios) of God.”

(These verses all say the third heaven and pardise in the Young’s Literal Translation and the Greek Textus Receptus. I’ve found of my years of research and study that no all of the translations are wrong, but bits and pieces are translated wrong just enough to change the meaning of things, as well as bits and pieces of the actual Word of God have been removed and the Canon be built around ways to get by but keep us at bay from knowing the full truth of God.)

After reading Luke 16 verses above and the other verses we have confirmation that there is indeed a paradise, as Jesus spoke it on the cross as well as the rich man and the beggar teaching. So the separation of paradise, hell, hades or sheol, and the lake of fire are all clustered into one in the English translation. Which in example, if you took New Orleans, Paris, New York and called them all Paris, it would be incorrect and leave much out that would be known about the two that have been lumped into Paris as well as their locations. So hell is not one place, nor does it carry the same meanings or locations behind it that the others do. This should be common logic to anyone who actually reads God’s word.

Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Proverbs 3:12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Job 5:17-18
Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: 18 For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.
(These verses all say chasten or correct in the Young’s Literal Translation.)

God says, that those whom He loves, He disciplines, which is the refining fire. To purify gold they refine it in the fire, which is what God does to those who do not make it to Paradise. He gives us free will and we can choose to follow Him or the devil, we follow Love or we follow corruption, but no matter what we choose, we are still His children and He still loves us dearly, each and every one of us. Just as we would do anything for our children, and our love being earthly and it doesn’t compare to His at all, can you imagine how He must feel for us. We spank our children because we love them, to teach them right and wrong, spankings hurt, but they help mold us for the better. This is in a sense what God will do to those who do not make it to paradise, though I’m not entirely sure what their disciplines will be, there will be some form of refinement or purification.

Matthew 5:26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing. (YLT is the same)

This says we will pay our debt to the last penny basically that we owe for what we did on earth.

Matthew 25:41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

YLT Matt. 245:41 Then shall he say also to those on the left hand, go ye from me, the cursed to the fire, the age-during, that hath been prepared for the devil and his messengers.

Acts 2:27 “Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell (Hades/Sheol), neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.”

YLT Acts 2:27 because thou wilt not leave my soul to hades, nor wilt thou give thy Kind One to see corruption;

They will be there for a time, not eternity, until they pay the last penny of their debt. In the Greek they use the word Aion or Eon which means for a time or for an age. That tells you that no soul will be left there forever or eternally as they have translated out the true word aion or eon and input the English word eternal.

Also, if you look in Jonah when it talks about him being in the belly of the whale, it states in some versions hell and eternal or forever, but that makes no sense, as Jonah was in the belly of the whale for three days. Also, this shows and example of how we can be saved from this place, because you have to think that being in the belly of that whale, no one would have survived three days. So, when Jonah realized his wrong and came to terms with what he needed to do, God released him and brought him to life. It’s a matter of people in sheol or hades, or hell coming to terms with God and paying what debt they owe to the last cent. God does bring all unto Himself eventually, and every knee will bow eventually, and every tongue will confess eventually, and all tears and pain will be wiped away.

KJV Jonah 2:2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice…Jonah 2:6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God.

YLT Jonah 2:2 And he saith: I called, because of my distress, to Jehovah, and He doth answer me, from the belly of sheol I have cried, thou hast heard my voice…Jonah 2:6 To the cuttings of mountains I have come down, the earth her bars [are] behind me to the age. And Thou bringest up from the pit my life, O Jehovah my God.

1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
YLT 1 Tim. 2:4 who doth will all men to be saved, and to come to the full knowledge of the truth.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

YLT 2 Peter 3:9 the Lord is not slow in regard to the promise, as certain count slowness, but is long-suffering to us, not counseling any to be lost but all to pass on to reformation,

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might (would) be saved.

YLT John 3:16-17 in this we have known the love, because He for us his life did lay down, and we ought for the brethren the lives to lay down; and whosoever may have the goods of the world, and may view his brother having need, and may shut up his bowels from him—how doth the love of God remain in him?

God didn’t send Christ, because He might save, He sent Christ because He would save. His Son’s death will not be in vain. Also, if you read the two verses, they are different, very different. This is one of the pivotal verses in Christianity.

I kept reading in comparison to the KJV and it’s very different as you keep reading. The Young’s on the major Bible sites may not be the correct version, but a newer or updated version that is very different from the actual. I have the Edinburgh, January 1898 which was the second edition to the first from Edinburgh, Sept 10th 1862. I found it on Bible Gateway, but it doesn’t tell me what translation it is, but when I put in young’s and it says modern in the selections as I scroll so I’m not sure what this version is, but it does not match the original one at all. Sorry I got off topic there, I’m just really glad I found that so I do use that version.

Isaiah 53:5-6 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all…..10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

YLT Isaiah 53:5-6 And he is pierced for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace is on him, and by his bruise there is healing to us. All of us like sheep have wandered, each to his own way we have turned, and Jehovah hath cased to meet on him, the punishment of us all…And Jehovah hath delighted to bruise him, He hath made him sick, if his soul doth make an offering for guilt, He seeth seed—he prolongeth days, and pleasure of Jehovah in his hand doth prosper.

Christ came to save all, all meaning all not some or a few, all. He defeated death and hell when He went down to preach to the lost in prison which would be hades, sheol, or hell, defeat means to conquer, completely. He says that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord. God’s will is more powerful than our little minds can imagine. So much so that He put His own Son on the cross for us, and in doing so, it will not have been done in vain. He came for all to save all. Though some would reject Him, He still loves them. He will show them the truth and because of their stubbornness and false beliefs from this world, will face the refinement and pay the debt on which they owe to the last penny, but they will still at some point return to God themselves.

Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

YLT Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and the death shall not be anymore, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor shall there be any more pain, because the first things did go away.

It says that He will wipe away every tear and no more pain, this would not be possible, if people where “burning in hell for eternity.”
Romans 4:11
And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

YLT Romans 4:11 And a sign he did receive of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith in the uncircumcision, for his being father of all those believing through uncircumcision, for the righteousness also being reckoned to them,

Philippians 2:10-11
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

YLT Philippians 2:10-11 that in the name of Jesus every knee may bow –of heavenlies and eathlies, and what are under the earthAnd that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

If every tongue is going to confess, that means all, just as Christ came to save all.

Revelation 20:13-21:1 – “And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell (Hades) delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell (Hades) were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”

The sea here is the church, and it giving up the dead is in accordance with the knowing of those who are false teachers and prophets, which are to be delivered to Hades because of their works and their sin of either disbelief or knowing the truth and hiding it inside lies to deceive God’s children/church/people. For a time aion, they will be delivered here for refinement, the only other option really is that they would be completely destroyed, because there will be no more pain or tears at some point and that would not be possible if there were still these false teachers and prophets in torment. Torment not meaning they are being ripped apart technically, but they are facing the truth of what they did on this earth, they are paying in full to the last penny for the things they have done and the debt they owe according to God. Once the new heaven and new earth are formed, there will be no more need for a sea/church, because we will all be with God and there will be no separation any longer. Things will be as God meant them to be.

Enoch 51.1 And in those days the Earth will return that which has been entrusted to it, and Sheol will return that which has been entrusted to it and that which it has received. And destruction will return what it owes.

So for all that has been done on this earth and the corruption that has been brought by Lucifer, the fallen angels, and the people who have willingly followed them or been lured by them through deceitful things will be brought down. All that they saw as truth and all the lies they stood on will crumble beneath them and they will be no more. Again, like we read in Matthew 5:26 all of this and each of them will pay what they owe.

Enoch 54.5 And he said to me: “These are being prepared for the hosts of Azazel, so that they may take them, and throw them into the lowest part of hell; and they will cover their jaws with rough stones, as the Lord of Spirits commanded.

This is talking about the immeasurably weighted chains that are being prepared for Azazel and his host. It speaks of the lowest part of hell, which in turn tells us that there are even levels to hell.

Hell being more than one place as I have shown above, and then we come to the eternal part of it, the words that are used in the Greek to describe was is translated into eternally in hell are kolasij aion.

Word: kolasij Pronounce: kol’-as-is Greek: κολασιν
Strongs Number: G2851
Orig: from 2849; penal infliction:–punishment, torment. G2849
Use: TDNT-3:816,451 Noun Feminine
1) correction, punishment, penalty

An aion or eon means an age or a time. It doesn’t make much sense that it would be forever if every tear was wiped away and there was no more pain. Kolasij which is given above can mean correction and in the context in which this is written it does mean correction, just as God states that He disciplines those He loves and He loves us all.

Strong’s Greek: 165. αἰών (aión) — a space of time, an age –biblehub.com/greek/165.htm
Definition: an age, a cycle (of time), especially of the present age

Word: aiwn Pronounce: ahee-ohn’ Greek: αιων
Strongs Number: G165
Orig: from the same as 104; properly, an age; by extension, perpetuity (also past); by implication, the world; specially (Jewish) a Messianic period (present or future):–age, course, eternal, (for) ever(-more), (n-)ever, (beginning of the , while the) world (began, without end). Compare 5550. G104
Use: TDNT-1:197,31 Noun Masculine

Matthew 25:46 for example, the way this word is used is αιωνιον or aionios which is in context age-long. An Age does not mean eternal but in some instances they will try to make it seem as such, I believe what they were portraying which actually makes logical sense in all the instances where this is used besides when God speaks of the punishment for the fallen angels which it is possible they will be destroyed, is that it is a long period of time it’s not quick like our lives, it might be longer than even we will live. The only time that the word eternal should apply possibly as it is in the English meaning is for the angels.

In the Young’s Literal Translation Matthew 25:46
And these shall go away to punishment age-during, but the righteous to live age-during.

KJV Matthew 25:46 – And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Greek Textus Receptus
και απελευσονται ουτοι εις κολασιν αιωνιον οι δε δικαιοι εις ζωην αιωνιον

I found the article below which explained what I’ve written above exactly as I was trying to explain it and had previously researched this info before coming across this, but this is well written so I wanted to add this in to point out some facts that many people are unaware of, as well as reiterate what I’ve stated above. If you don’t dig you will remain on the surface of mans word and man’s world and you will miss God’s Word and the Heavenly Wisdom of the Holy Spirit.

“Eternal” Punishment (Matthew 25:46) Is NOT Found In The Greek New Testament.
By Tony Nungesser and Gary Amirault

The entire concept of eternal or everlasting punishment hinges primarily on a single verse of Scripture– Matthew 25:46. This is the only place in the entire Bible where we find these two words together AND only in some Bibles. There are over a dozen English translations which do NOT contain the concept of “eternal punishment” on ANY of their pages, NOR the pagan concept of Hell.

The Greek form for “everlasting punishment” in Matthew 25:46 is ”kolasin aionion.” Kolasin is a noun in the accusative form, singular voice, feminine gender and means “punishment, chastening, correction, to cut-off as in pruning a tree to bare more fruit.” “Aionion” is the adjective form of “aion,” in the singular form and means “pertaining to an eon or age, an indeterminate period of time.” (Note: the two words in many, not all translations become reversed when bringing the Greek into English, that is, “kolasin aionion” literally punishment everlasting is reversed to everlasting punishment so as to make better sense in English.)

“Aionion,” as shown above, is the singular form of the adjective of the Greek noun “aion.” Many people unfamiliar with the Greek do not realize that the endings of the same word change (inflection) to indicate its mood, case, gender, etc. Therefore, “aionion” may appear with different endings. “Aionion, aioniou, aionios,” for example, are all different inflections of the adjective form of the noun “aion.”

The noun “aion” in Greek literature has always meant “an indeterminate period of time. It could be as short as the time Jonah spent in the belly of a fish (three days or nights even though the KJV has him in the “belly of Hell” “forever,” obviously a mistranslation; see Jonah 2:2, 2:6.), the length of a man’s life, or as long as an age.

The Bible speaks of at least 5 “aions” and perhaps many more. If there were “aions” in the past, then aions must have an end. The New Testament writers spoke of “the present wicked aion” which ended during that very generation. Obviously, it was followed by another “aion”– the “aion” in which we presently live. If there are “aions” to come, it must mean that this one we live in will also end.

There is a verse which says “the consummation of the aions” proving that each “aion” ends. So how can they be eternal?

There is “the coming eon” (Matt.10:30, Luke 18:30
There is “the present wicked eon” (Gal.1:4)
There is “the oncoming eons (future)(Eph.2:7)
There is “the conclusion of the eon (present) (Mt.13:39,40)
There is “the secret concealed from the eons (past) (Eph.3:9)

Plainly, the Greek word “aion” transliterated “eon” cannot mean “eternal.” A study into the Greek of the Biblical period and before will bear this out.

“Aionion” is the adjective of the noun “aion.”

Since grammar rules mandate an adjective CANNOT take on a greater force than its noun form, it is evident that “aionion” in any of its adjective forms (ios, ou, on) CANNOT possibly mean “everlasting” or anything remotely indicating eternity or unending time.

For example, “hourly” cannot mean “pertaining to days, weeks, months, or years. The word MUST mean “pertaining to an hour.” Therefore, “aionion,” the adjective form of the noun “aion” which clearly means a period of indeterminate TIME, CANNOT mean, “forever and ever, eternal, everlasting, eternity, etc.” or other words which connote timelessness or unending ages.

Therefore, those many Bibles which do NOT contain the teaching of everlasting punishment or Hell are true to the original languages of Greek and Hebrew. Those which teach everlasting punishment or Hell are false. Scholars are just as easily subjected to the “traditions of the elders” as the rest of us. It’s time to let the original Greek and Hebrew languages of the Bible break down the traditions of men.

Here is a list of Bibles which have taken major steps towards correcting many of the corruptions found in the King James Bible, NIV, NASB, NRSV, Amplified, as well as other leading selling Bibles:
Some of them are published by leading Evangelical Christian publishers like Baker Book House, Kregal and Eerdman’s Publishing. Here’s a partial list of some English Bible translations that do NOT contain Hell nor the concept of everlasting punishment: Rotherham’s Emphasized Bible (Kregal Publishers), Young’s Literal Translation of the Holy Bible (Baker Book House Publishers; Robert Young is author of the famous Young’s Concordance), Concordant Literal Translation of the N.T. (Concordant Publishing Concern), Scarlet’s New Testament (Nathaniel Scarlett, 1798), The New Testament (Abner Kneeland, 1823) Emphatic Diaglott (Greek/English Interlinear), The New Covenant (J.W. Hanson, 1884), New Testament in Modern Speech (Weymouth, 1910), The Restoration of Original Sacred Name Bible (1976), The Twentieth Century New Testament (1900), The New Testament of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Anointed (James L. Tomanek)1958), The Western New Testament (1926), The New Testament, a Translation (Rev. Edgar Lewis Clementson, 1938), The People’s New Testament (Arthur Overbury), The New Testament, A New Translation based upon the Oldest Manuscripts (Johannes Greber, 1980) Jonathan Mitchell New Testament (2009) Far Above All New Testament (2009).
There are other translations like the Companion Bible King James Version, American Standard Version (1901), the Newberry Reference Bible (Still published by Kregal Publications), and the Riverside New Testament by Ballantine (1934) which contain footnotes, marginal readings and appendages which point out that several key Greek and Hebrew words have been MIStranslated by such Bible versions as the King James Bible.

Book of Enoch/The Bible Scripture Comparison

Enoch is referenced in the Canonical Bible so many times either by name or reference of a verse meaning the same things. So I have gone through and done some research to show you all the truth of this, that we are not being given all the words of God, but merely a small portion. It is up to you to see past the scribes and Pharisees of the centuries and seek out the whole of God’s word. My question to you is who told you that we should not read these books? Who told them? Who told them? You are laying your faith upon men and not God. History is there for a reason. Many of the books from those times help us understand those times in history better, so why not these that actually reflect God/Jesus/Holy Spirit. Think about this and pray about this.

[Enoch is an antediluvian book – before the time of the biblical flood.]

Hebrews 11:5-7
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him; for before [his] translation he has the testimony that he had pleased God. 6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]. For he that draws near to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them who seek him out. 7By faith, Noah, oracularly warned concerning things not yet seen, moved with fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which [is] according to faith.

Abusers of themselves with mankind

In the KJV it says “abusers of themselves with mankind”. So many people try to throw this out as meaning homosexuality, please research your sources before you go proclaiming translations as something they are not. This is one of the only translations that actually gets it remotely correct on 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. The ancient Greek term is hard to find in Greek literature, but when it has been used it is used as a class struggle, where a person in a HIGHER POSITION abuses someone in a LOWER position. Also, the term has another more known meaning in shrine prostitution. Where a male would castrate themselves and be on the receiving end of sex unto a false god, such as Molech (which I have mentioned before).

Philo, The Special Laws, III, VII, 40-41: “(40) And I imagine that the cause of this is that among many nations there are actually rewards given for intemperance and effeminacy. At all events one may see men-women (androgynes) continually strutting through the market place at midday, and leading the processions in festivals; and, impious men as they are, having received by lot the charge of the temple, and beginning the sacred and initiating rites, and concerned even in the holy mysteries of Ceres(Cybele)”

This indicates they were in charge of the Temple unto Cybele. This was part of the term (which cannot be separated). Reguarding the first definition(abuse of someone lower than you), which is stated above, only a few ancient Greek texts use it in such a way (Sibylline Oracle 2.70-77.10 – one of the more ancient texts that uses the term).

http://www.clgs.org/arsenokoit%C3%A9s…

Section “On Justice” from Sibylline Oracle 2: “(Never accept in your hand a gift which derives from unjust deeds.) Do not steal seeds. Whoever takes for himself is accursed (to generations of generations, to the scattering of life. Do not arsenokoitein, do not betray information, do not murder.) Give one who has labored his wage. Do not oppress a poor man. Take heed of your speech. Keep a secret matter in your heart. (Make provision for orphans and widows and those in need.) Do not be willing to act unjustly, and therefore do not give leave to one who is acting unjustly.”

This would qualify “slave owners” from the 19th Century, due to how they abused slaves. “Abusers of themselves with mankind” WERE slave owners!!!

NOW DAYS, we are expected to believe and many do, that it is referring to homosexuals. (=ignorance/hate/lies/false doctrine) This is dishonest and causing so much hate in our country alone, not to mention the other countries. Just how the devil wants it, people have allowed it to be.

The only definition that is related to “homosexuality” is one that also includes “false god worship” as part of the definition. First, NO homosexuals castrate themselves. Second, they are not worshipping false gods such as Cybele or Molach while having sex! Lord knows I don’t!

The sin was idolatry, mixed with sex acts. This is what has been lost in its meaning. So “slave owners” and those who rape and abuse others are ALSO being discussed when this term is used. I am guessing Paul was referring to both meanings when he spoke of this, but he by no means was talking about homosexuals.

Do Christians push people away from God?

I heard on the radio this weekend, one of the DJs asking, “Do Christians push people away from God?”

My answer to that would be yes, a lot of them do. We are called to show others the love of Jesus, PERIOD. After that, it is the Spirits job to break down their proud soul and begin to help them grow to be like Christ. It isn’t a happen in a day aspect, the Holy Spirit has to purge them of the things that hurt them. We as brothers and sisters in Christ can come to one another in love and help each other along, but those who do not know God do not understand sin. They don’t understand God’s Word, they are carnal minded until that appointed time God reaches into them and the Holy Spirit connects with their spirit.

1 Cor. 1:18 18For the message about Christ’s death on the cross is nonsense to those who are being lost; but for us who are being saved it is God’s power.
1 Cor. 2:14Whoever does not have the Spirit cannot receive the gifts that come from God’s Spirit. Such people really do not understand them; they are nonsense to them, because their value can be judged only on a spiritual basis. 15Whoever has the Spirit, however, is able to judge the value of everything, but no one is able to judge him.

You can judge the value of things, in other Words if something is good or not, (this is called discernment) but you cannot judge people, that is God’s job not yours. There are too many people out there sitting on judgment thrones casting their opinions over people. Stop it! Stop breeding hate! Stop persecuting people! Stop being ignorant!

Matthew 7
1“Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you, for God will judge you in the same way as you judge others, and he will apply to you the same rules you apply to others.3Why, then, do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, and pay no attention to the log in your own eye?4How dare you say to your brother, ‘Please, let me take that speck out of your eye,’ when you have a log in your own eye?5You hypocrite! First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will be able to see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

How clearly do we really see though, enough to really judge someone? We don’t! We see clearly enough to share God’s Word with people, to talk to them, to help them learn, and to give them whatever Word God may have given you for them. Be careful not to judge, because God will judge you with the same standards on which you judge others.

John 8:7… “Whichever one of you has committed no sin may throw the first stone at her.” (Just my curiosity, but right before that, Jesus wrote something on the ground…I wonder what He wrote. It never tells us what He wrote. )

Some may argue that if you are in Christ, you are sinless or righteous. This is true, before God you will be seen as sinless and righteous, but you are not of yourselves sinless and righteous. Jesus is your righteousness.

I would ask you to speak up and post a comment if you think you are sinless, I haven’t met someone yet who is sinless other than Jesus Christ. If you think this of yourself, please tell me why.

Is Hell really “Hell”? Is it really going to be Eternal?

As with all other aspects of the Bible and all these different English translations, if you do not take them back to the first books like the Greek Septuagint or the early church fathers which where the disciples of the disciples of Christ, you will be missing the meat of God’s word. God says that EVEN THE ELECT WILL BE LEAD ASTRAY.   We need to realize this statement as it is, and be aware of the things that have happened over time. Gnostic beliefs have crept into modern day Christianity, right along with these false translations of the original Word of God which is without error. The Dead Sea scrolls match up with the Septuagint, and show that this book is better for us to learn from. The Hebrew Masoretic text which is what our modern day Bible is based off of, does not match up with the Dead Sea scrolls.

There are so many connections in History that provide us with direction, yet most Christians refuse to even look at them and see the Truth God has left us bread crumbs to. Be not stubborn but willing to test the works and allow God to give you discernment to see what has been hidden from us and therefore laid the majority of Christians into an ignorant bed where much of them have conjured up hate upon so many and either pushed them away from Christ, or persecuted Christ Himself because they have persecuted those who are His.

I have been researching and studying for a while now trying to determine the validity of the statement I heard growing up from people, “you will burn in hell for eternity” which from my understanding, many have been taught. The English meaning of the word eternal, I cannot validate because it is used elsewhere in the Bible differently. The Greek word aionos and Hebrew work olam which has been translated in describing eternal hell means for a time. The Bible tells us that Jonah was in the belly of the whale for aionos and this was 3 days.

It says that those who are reconciled to Jesus Christ will be saved as though they had no sin. We are not righteous and sinless on our own, it takes Christ in us to be seen by God as sinless (2 Cor. 5:18-19). As for those who are not in Christ, they will be refined as by fire (1 Peter 1:7; Isaiah 48:10; Zechariah 13:9; Revelation 3:18). He says AS BY FIRE, I’m not certain what this means, it could literally be a fire, or just the supreme power and holiness of the presence of God purging them in some way to make them see the Truth, that God is and cause them to look to Jesus that they would also be saved. It’s also possible that when God judges them and does not see Christ, they also see themselves the way God sees them and are shamed because of it, and live in this state for a time. 1 Cor 3:15 he says that if the works shall be consumed he shall suffer loss but still be saved, again through the fire. It says here BUT STILL BE SAVED.

God loves us whether we want Him to or not, and we will be enveloped in it always once this world is passed. It is our choice no matter what, and at some point, maybe all people (humans with the DNA God created us with), and all meaning ALL will be in the love of God as He intended it to be, to begin with.

Here like I have been trying get across, all these translations are not good, they have been indoctrinated and different theology has caused them to have a different meaning than what was first meant. I do believe the first text was the inerrant Word of God, but since it has been twisted and molded to fit the opinions of those that translated the text instead of it being a direct translation/copy into another language, not to mention the Pharisees themselves removed books that God intended to be in the “Bible.”

11For other foundation can no man lay besides that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any one build upon this foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw, 13the work of each shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire shall try the work of each what it is. 14If the work of any one which he has built upon the foundation shall abide, he shall receive a reward. 15If the work of any one shall be consumed, he shall suffer loss, but he shall be saved, but so as through the fire.

1 Peter 1:7 so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Isaiah 48:10 “Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.

Zechariah 13:9″And I will bring the third part through the fire, Refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are My people,’ And they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.'”

Revelation 3:18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.

Jonah 1:17And the Lord appointed a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the stomach of the fish three days and three nights.

[Three days and nights here is aion or aionos in the Greek or Olam in the Hebrew.]

aión: a space of time, an age
Original Word: αἰών, ῶνος, ὁ Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine Transliteration: aión Phonetic Spelling: (ahee-ohn’) Short Definition: an age, a cycle of time Definition: an age, a cycle (of time), especially of the present age as contrasted with the future age, and of one of a series of ages stretching to infinity.

You can see how people could mold their view point’s depending on what translation they read.

Well, consider these translations of Acts 2:27:

NIV: because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay NLV: For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your Holy One to rot in the grave. NASB: BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT ABANDON MY SOUL TO HADES, NOR ALLOW YOUR HOLY ONE TO UNDERGO DECAY. KJV: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Here, we see the translations of the term “Hades” into English from various translators. When reading these passages above, do you not see a significant difference between their meanings as a result?

The term Hades seems to be equivelant to the term “Sheol” from the Old Testament:

KJV: For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell (SHEOL); neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. – Psalms 16:10 KJV: For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell (SHEOL). – Psalms 86:13 KJV: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell (HADES), neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. – Acts 2:27

So, the KJV was crafted around the common Protestant and Catholic doctrine of Heaven and Hell, as the KJV (along with some other Bibles) LITERALLY translate the exact same word “HADES” to mean Hell, 10 times out of 11. Yet, the term means the “realm of the dead”, not “Hell” and appears to be the equivelant to “SHEOL” found within the Old Testament.

There is only one verse out of about 33,000 in the Bible that may say “eternal torment”, namely:

“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. ” – King James Bible – Revelation 20:10

Eastern beliefs and Western beliefs differ greatly here. If you notice, there are great things happening in the East and we seem to be asleep in the West.   Here is another good tool to use to draw your own conclusions about this.
